Food is another good example. The local cuisine is not only influence by the several cultures surrounding the island, it has grown in fame since the Medieval Ages and has itself spread its delicious dishes around that part of the World.

Even sports follow this trend. Football, the most common and popular sport in the island, is also influenced by Greek and Turkish styles of play, with teams preferring the rigid and well organized Greek approach while others use the more free-flowing and exciting Turkish methods.
