BakersfieldNot just a quaint little town, Bakersfield has something to offer everyone. Whether its on a business trip, or a vacation with the family, you can keep yourself busy in this California town. It is home to almost 250,000 people, with a generally young median age. It’s not just fields of potatoes and garlic, it has plenty to offer a variety of ages.

You may have heard of Bakersfield being remote, but recent census have shown that, of the larger cities in the United States, Bakersfield is one of the fastest growing. It is also the third largest inland city, only after the capital, Sacramento, and Fresno. Here you will find more than just crops of almonds, grapes and carrots, but plenty of fine dining and sports. American football, baseball and ice hockey are very big in this city, as well as historic restaurants such as Luigi’s, Noriega’s, Maitia’s, Pyrenees, and Woolgrower’s. As for music, this city has it’s own sound appropriately named “Bakersfield Sound”, being heavily influenced by country music, and icons such as Buck Owens and Merles Haggard. Motorsports is also thriving in this city, naturally the birthplace of NASCAR’sCasey Mears.
